I've found the TFG2 works great for my placement and spin-focused game. After adding a 1/2oz Slyce cap and switching to Karakal PU grips, it hits 8.8oz but still feels quick with the weight in the handle.
My drop shots are more accurate than with my old J2K, J2Ti, and Luxx paddles. It's not a power paddle by any means, but I can still generate decent drive power when needed. The feel is soft but responsive, unlike the Luxx which felt a bit weak to me.
If you prefer control and touch over raw power, this might be your paddle. It's not for everyone, but it suits my game perfectly.
