The Sypik Avatar plays incredibly well straight out of the box. I'd say it plays similar to a Joola Perseus, but with less pop, more power, and more spin (i.e. you may have to push a little on resets, but your topspin drives will be incredibly fast and will land in at baseline). I came from a CRBN TFW4. This is lighter, much more forgiving, and it hits harder on off-center hits (though the CRBN TFW4 hits harder if you can consistently hit the sweet-spot). My only frustration is that it's not advertised that, if purchased in the U.S., it'll have less grit than one purchased in Vietnam. A friend of mine purchased his in Vietnam, I played with it and had zero misshits, bought my own, then found out that they have different approval logos at the bottom of the face because of the grit-level difference. His is, I guess, not legal for U.S. play. I would've liked to know beforehand that there would be a difference.
